Bremer River site BRE06

Bremer River: The sampling site was a pool on a freshwater tributary to the Lower Bremer River. Access to this site is only by walking overland for several kilometres. Unfortunately, despite being in a pristine location, two introduced species, a yabby (Cherax destructor) and a Mosquito fish (Gambusia holbrooki) were collected from this pool. The most likely explanation is that they arrived as small juveniles attached to wet duck feathers.
